Proposed fix to mis-poured deck pad

Ok, this one sucks. We got back from the midwest tonight and saw this one. As always, no calls. They just showed up and did this while we were out of town.

As you might have read in my previous posts, the cement guys misformed one of the deck pads (even though there was orange paint showing the correct path), and hence mis-poured it. Here is what they came up with to fix the issue. I'm worried it'll look like crap with 2 separate pieces of decking being joined in an odd shaped pad. I'm also worried that with the 2 separate pads, they won't warranty it against cracking.

Unfortunately it can't stay as is either. The table and chairs won't fit on it the way it's poured.

Like I said, this one sucks.
