Draining the pool

Talk about a rough day. I got a phone call around 5pm tonight from the company that is going to be here Monday to tear down the pool. Only 1 problem...they never bothered to show up today to drain it!!!!

He said that they would need to reschedule the teardown, and he's not sure why noone showed up to drain it and he didn't have anyone out in the field that could come by and start the drain.

Rather than having this project fall farther behind schedule I told him that I would go up to Home Depot and rent a submersible pump and take care of it myself, just be here Monday morning to do the teardown. This should be fun trying to deal with Tina again.

Since I've never actually used a submersible pump before, this was actually kind of fun. It pumped 64 gallons per minute. The whole pool would take around 4 hours to completely drain. Unfortunately I got such a late start draining it that I'll have to finish in the morning.

Pool not drained - Tina doesn't answer

Well, nobody showed up today to drain the pool. I've called Tina and left a message since she never seems to answer the phone. I have no idea what this means for Monday.

Tina finally calls!

My customer service rep. Tina called today to say that a company would be out Friday to drain the pool and then be back bright and early Monday morning to tear all the cement and plaster out. WOOHOO!!!!

No call from Tina

Guess what. Tina didn't bother calling us back today. She has our home phone number and my cell number.

Message from Tina

Today we got a call from Tina but she missed us. The message basically said that she would call back tomorrow. By the time I got the message it was about 6pm so there was no use trying to return the call. Last time I actually got to talk to her she told me she usually works from 7a-4p.
